In 2017, the Gippsland Community Leadership Program celebrates its 21st birthday - 21 years of growing Gippsland’s leaders. GCLP was ahead of its time. The value of community leadership in the regions is now well established and is something our guest speaker, Ed Gannon knows well. We invite you to join us in celebrating this milestone achievement as we launch the 2017 Program and meet a new group of aspiring leaders.

Meet our guest speaker, Mr Ed Gannon

Ed Gannon is editor of The Weekly Times, Australia’s largest circulating rural newspaper, a role he has held for 10 years. He has more than 25 years’ experience in media, having worked on The Weekly Times and Herald Sun in a number of positions, including reporter, education editor and Chief of Staff. As well as being editor of The Weekly Times, he is also editor of DecisionAg, Australia’s only magazine dedicated to agribusiness, and www.theweeklytimes.com.au, Australia’s largest newspaper-backed rural news website. Born and raised on a Gippsland dairy farm, he is also a columnist for the Herald Sun, a regular on ABC radio and ABC News Breakfast and is a past president of the Rural Press Club of Victoria.
